Project Name: Liquid Natural Gas-Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Station
Location: Dallas, Texas
Project Description: This project included design services for modifications to existing facilities for the operation and maintenance of LNG-fueled buses.
Paragon's Role: As the Prime Design Consultant to DART, Paragon provided services for the preparation of plans and specifications for an LNG/CNG Fueling Station. In Phase I, PARAGON prepared a written determination of the impact on the existing DART Northwest Facility for maintaining and fueling LNG-fueled transit buses. This report included a study of revisions, modification, and replacements of the HVAC Systems, Electrical Distribution and Associated Equipment, Fire Protection Systems, Fuel Dispensing and Vapor Recovery Facilities, Fuel Storage, and Maintenance Equipment.

During Phase II, PARAGON designed two 30,000-gallon cryogenic storage tanks with cryogenic piping, pumps, controls, regulators and dispensing devices. Included was the design of canopy structures, fueled dispensing islands, venting systems, and integration of LNG/CNG fueling and existing "Fleetwatch" hardware and software management system. PARAGON will provide a complete training program to be coordinated with DART's Risk Management/Quality Assurance and design services during bid/award and construction phases of the project.
