Project Name: DART Northwest Bus Maintenance Building Alterations

Project Description: This project involved engineering design services for alterations to the Northwest Bus Maintenance Facility for the operation and maintenance of LNG/CNG - fueled buses.
Paragon's Role: As the Prime Design Consultant, Paragon was selected to provide services for this facility alteration project. In Phase I, Paragon prepared a project definition report on the effect on existing DART Northwest Facility for maintaining and fueling LNG-fuel transit buses. This report included a study of revisions, modifications, and replacements of the HVAC systems, electrical distribution and associated equipment, fire protection systems, fuel dispensing and vapor recovery facilities, fuel storage and maintenance equipment.

In Phase II, Paragon designed and provided construction management to complete installation of operational testing of ventilation and alarm systems within the existing maintenance facility including demolition, removals or modifications required. The design alterations consisted of supply fans, methane detectors, electrical system upgrade and electric power and communications circuit extensions to temporary fueling station.
