Project Name: US 190 Copperas Cove Bypass
Location: Waco District, Texas
Project Description: The purpose of this project was to determine the most practical means of improving the transportation needs of the City of Copperas Cove, Coryell County, Texas in the U.S. 190 corridor. This was estimated to be a five-mile long (+/-) corridor connecting to U.S. 190 on both ends of the project.

The project was a "cradle-to-grave" project. It was a planning (Phase 1), PS&E (Phase 2) and construction engineering (Phase 3) project. Phase 1 consisted of performing a major investment study (MIS), and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), and a landfill investigation. Phase 2 consisted of preparing final design plans and specifications for paving, drainage, bridges and landfill mitigation. Phase 3 consisted of shop drawing reviews and landfill construction management.
