Project Name: President George Bush Turnpike

Project Description: President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT), also known as State Highway (S.H.) 190T, is a 6-lane divided tollway approximately 26.4 miles long which extends from Interstate Highway (I.H.) 635 in Irving to S.H. 78 in Garland. PGBT is divided into 4 segments and 14 subsections with individual design and construction contracts for each subsection.

PGBT Segments I through III are complete and Segment V on the east side of DFW Airport will be completed in January 2002. Design of PGBT Segment IV, which connects PGBT at IH 635/SH 161 in Irving to PGBT at IH 35E/Trinity Mills Rd. in Lewisville, is 90% complete with construction scheduled to be finished in July, 2004.

The owner of PGBT is the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) and HNTB Corporation is the General Engineering Consultant (GEC).
Paragon's Role: As a Design Consultant, Paragon has provided the following services:
  • Coordination of utility adjustments/relocations
  • Coordination of easement and right-of-way acquisitions
  • Structural design reviews
