| Project Description: | The City of Fort Worth's 1998 Capital Improvements Bond Program encompassed $120 million in general obligation bonds to finance a four-year construction program of improvements to streets and public facilities. Paragon entered into a professional engineering services agreement with the City of Fort Worth in January 1999 to provide design services for one of the numerous projects of the program. Initial project assignment design services included reconstruction of two streets, Curzon Avenue from Halloran Street to Faron Street and Littlepage Street from Fletcher Avenue to Kilpatrick Avenue on the west side of Fort Worth. The project scope consisted of street reconstruction, storm drainage improvements, and replacement of water mains, sanitary sewer mains and water service lines. |
| Paragon's Role: | As Prime Design Consultant, Paragon was responsible for preparation of plans for the reconstruction of Curzon Avenue and Littlepage Street. Curzon Avenue involved the reconstruction of an existing street with new asphalt pavement and replacement of 6-inch water main with 8-inch water main. Littlepage Street involved reconstruction of the existing street with new asphalt pavement, storm drainage improvements, replacement of existing 6-inch water main crossing with 8-inch water main, and sanitary sewer improvements. Paragon's responsibilities also included management of design survey and development of project bid and construction documents. |
