Project Name: Taxiway A Reconstruction
Location: John Wayne Airport, Costa Mesa, CA
Project Description: The project included reconstruction of Taxiway "A" between Taxiway "G" and Taxiway "J" including replacement of existing asphalt pavement with concrete pavement. Work was performed in a busy airport operations environment with significant safety and operations concerns. The project was completed with no lost time accidents and no unanticipated interruptions to airport operations. The project closeout time was less than one month for quantity and test reconciliation.
Paragon's Role: As Construction Management Consultant, Paragon provided airfield engineering and construction support services for Taxiway "A" Reconstruction adjacent to the South RON. Specific services included quality assurance inspection, coordination with airport operations, testing laboratory, and surveyor; measurement for payment, quantity tracking, daily progress reports, weekly progress reports, monthly FAA reports, project progress photos, and progress closeout report for test and quantity reconciliation.
